Hi, I’m Salisha, and if we’re being honest, I’ve been a photographer for my entire life.

 

I still remember the bright yellow 35mm Minolta that my Dad let me take into the woods near my childhood home. I just loved hiking around and capturing tiny blue windflowers, mushrooms, and the light falling through the trees and get lost for hours, just enjoying the scenery and the sound of the shutter and the wind of my film readying the next frame for whatever small flower or slug became my next subject. I’d be filled with anticipation when my film roll was completed and we’d get back all the photos I had captured from the print shop and I’d get to hear my father praise me on my unique compositions. He’d always tell me, “You have a great eye for photography,“ and it was that encouragement that catapulted me into my passion to capture all things.

 

I’ve carried on this same fervency with me to college, setting aside my general education classes to focus solely on my passion, but I didn’t stop there. As a photographer, I continue to hone and perfect my craft. I believe that you should never stop learning, so I am constantly educating myself to become the absolute best I can be!

 

My promise to you, my client, is to bring my skills to the table, to not only capture beautiful photos for you, but also to bring you the best experience that I can. That is why I do the best to prepare you with what to expect before your session, and help you choose the best outfits and location for your vision. And even if you come to the session feeling a bit nervous, I make sure all that anxiety is left at the car door by helping you relax and have fun! So come ready to let loose and have a good time, and leave the hard work up to me. I vow to guide you with fun prompts and natural poses, so I can capture you for exactly who you are!
